Here in Vilshofen, we operate one of the most efficient sawmills for softwood anywhere in Europe.
At our 15-hectare site, we work with great efficiency and use the very latest technology. Every day, our 70 production and management employees work to optimise our products and services so that our customers can get the very best out of them.
We currently handle around 600,000 m³ solid measure of logs every year. This is the equivalent of more than 1,600 m³ of sawn timber every day.
Only natural residual wood is used to fire our own biomass cogeneration plant. The CO2-neutral, environmentally-friendly electricity which we produce is sufficient to supply around 4,000 households.
Given that we recycle our residual wood ourselves on site, we are able to save ourselves and the environment more than 3,000 lorry movements every year.
